Meet Chavon D. Carr! With a distinguished career spanning nearly two decades, Chavon D. Carr has built a reputation for excellence, leadership, and service within Houston’s legal community. From helping expand Houston’s light rail system during her early career to advising major energy companies on complex transactions, her professional journey reflects both depth and versatility.

A proud Spelman College alumna, Chavon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Business Management before obtaining her Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Health Law from Saint Louis University School of Law. Since beginning her legal career in 2006, she has become a trusted authority in real estate, probate, and estate law, guiding clients through intricate legal matters with precision and care.

Beyond the office, Chavon is deeply committed to community service. She leads the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Legal Ministry serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations dedicated to empowering Houston residents, and volunteers with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Her professional and civic achievements have earned her multiple honors, including the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Pearl of Service Award and a Woman of the Year nomination from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
